Why some don't attend or leave a Church but still believe

Nowadays not many people attend Church services. It isn't because of denominational differences however.  Be it travel, responsibilities at home, or a work schedule, among a few reasons. Sometimes it's actually due to how churches have become pressured to be more Worldly, or they operate more like businesses. Or much worse than that.

Imagine a pastor told a married spouse the Holy Spirit revealed that person would be married to somebody else one day. Leaving their significant other sharing their beliefs. There is no wrong doing whatsoever in the marriage. Doesn't sound like something the Holy Spirit, Jesus or God would condone. Only someone who is controlling and manipulative would say something blasphemous and contradicting.

Suppose someone receives a prophecy claiming they have to become this or that in this type of position. There isn't much reliance on their belief to handle things or it's limited. They have to outdo themselves rather than rely on God, which could lead to arrogance. Prophecy is meant to help someone and not compromise or ruin. Which is why prayer is vital in such confusion.

Pretend someone does marry a cult or occult member, but hadn't realize. Or they weren't coherent the day of the marriage. They probably have to be dishonest about the marriage and anything regarding their immediate family.  Outsiders would see this as abnormal and illegal. Yet such individuals will claim no wrongdoing and are active in community work to avoid suspicion.

If there is somebody involved with such members who do not know God, who never felt Jesus love nor the presence of the Holy Spirit. They could only hope one day the other(s) would see the truth. A believer of God would want to break free of living a lie, of being around those who do not understand them. The Holy Spirit would help that believer through God's guidance and Jesus mercy.

Churches are places that are there to help people through reassurance by scripture along with compassion, love and mercy. Unfortunately not many have these same principles, or were lost. Talking more about building structure and number of people in the pews shouldn't be a priority in determining if they're faith is stirred. Treating questions as attacks when nothing rebellious or blasphemous is said or thought isn't a sign of discernment. There was a great difference between Religion and Spiritual.

Sometimes it's best to read what the holy word has to say. In order to determine if those around you feel the same way.
