Why film noir was and is a popular genre of film

  Film noir may not be religious but covers the elements of the human mind and choices we make. This genre of film is more than just crime and suspense. It unveils the desires of the characters and what motivates them. They explore the pros and cons of various businesses, be it insurance and casino . Even though not any are the main theme, film noir touches on subjects such as discrimination , mistreated, same sex attraction and familial conflict .  The chemistry between the male and female leads of the story are exciting and thrilling as much as their romance. There's no fighting over whose in charge or coercing, its mutual and willing. The male lead may sacrifice his own current life to be with the siren, like in Nora Prentess and Out of the Past. It might be a bad choice one day in the future. Might lead to a happy ending, which doesn't always happen.  Furthermore, an old flame or thoughts of leaving current partner might surface, like in in Gilda and The Bri...
